PROBLEM
Deemeed motorcycle bags are adapted to many models of two-wheelers available on the market.
Properly attaching the bag to the vehicle is quite a challenge.
It must fit exactly to the existing mounting points on the motorcycle.
Additionally, due to the enormous overloads, it is necessary for the mounting to be extremely strong.
Especially for users with free (unused) attachment points for the quick locking and release system on Harley Davidson motorcycles, we decided to make dedicated mounting sleeves, thanks to which mounting the bag has become trivially simple.
Solution
Using a 3D printer, we designed and tested dozens of different sleeve designs with different degrees of filling.
Based on numerous tests, we managed to produce a mounting sleeve that meets very stringent requirements.
Here are the parameters obtained:
- Breaking force (short-term work): 96 kg
- long-term breaking strength (4 months load): 40 kg
- high temperature resistance: over 100 °C
- low temperature resistance: -17 °C with a load of 40 kg
The resulting product allows you to attach a heavy bag to your motorcycle very conveniently, without worrying about your safety while riding.
